Ambassadors East Hosts Beach Condo Association Meeting on 02/17/2015

The Beach Condo Association of Boca Raton
& Highland Beach (BCA) is an organization of members of the
Boards of Directors of condominiums in the Boca Raton and Highland
Beach areas. The association meets every month at a different
condominium for 6 months out of the year. The February 17th, 2015
meeting was hosted by the board of directors here at Ambassadors
East.
The purpose of the BCA is to help its members find solutions to problems, propose new ideas, provide input and requests to the community and better the lives of its nearly 10,000 residents. At these meetings members are encouraged to bring questions and experiences to share with others.
The featured speaker at the February 17 meeting was Jeff Atwater, Florida's Chief Financial Officer. Mr Atwater has also served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate and was president of the Senate from 2008 through 2010. The cornerstone of his platform as CFO is to reduce the burden on Florida's families by spending the taxpayer's money in the most efficient and effective manner. BCA members found his speech on Tuesday to be very informative and relevant. Members of the AE Board asked him questions with respect to insurance and he was able to address some of our specific concerns.
We want to thank A. Keller, B. Kaluzna, R. Halley and M. Gandy who did a flawless job of organizing and setting up this event. Also, thanks to our management and the many board members who pitched in to make the event a success. TAN thanks J. Melling and B. Aiello for the pictures above.

Domestic Water Heater Workshop
Everyone is encouraged to attend this very important water heater workshop. We have had a unusual number of water heater leaks in the past 2 months, taking up much of the time of our maintenance crew.

Brooklyn. Over the course of the year they learn they share much in
common - not least of which is that they are both going through the
process of arranged marriages.

Community Workshop, Feb. 4th, A Success
On Wednesday night, Ambassadors East owners and members of the board of directors met in the Building 3 common room for an informal forum to share ideas and set goals for the future here at our condominium. There were no concrete decisions made for change at this forum. However, by listening to the owners in attendance new and existing board members gained valuable incite into the thinking of residents regarding changes and/or improvements they would like to see accomplished at AE in the short term (1 - 6 months), mid-term (6 - 24 months) and long term (24 months +).
As ideas were presented by members of the audience, they were listed on a white board by J.D. Dinnocenzo (see above). Marsha Gandy moderated and kept order during the process. Board members will review the ideas put forth and publish a summary when it is organized. Board President John Bird thanked everyone for their participation.
Most attendees agreed that a forum of this kind was long overdue and suggested that follow up forums like this should be held.

Once again Ambassadors East kicked off the social season with a great party on January 31st.
Friends greeted each other with lots of hugs all around. Everyone enjoyed munching on shrimp, meatballs, spring rolls, pigs in a blanket, potato skins, Bru's chicken wings, Spanakopita, pizza rolls,
vegies, brushetta, cheese and crackers, beer, wine, soda, etc., etc., etc.,
A fun time was had by all and NO ONE went home hungry!
