Electronic Vehicle Charging Stations for AE
An agenda item at the July 15 AE Board of Directors meeting was a discussion on Electronic Vehicle Charging stations for the AE facility. A committee was formed and the committee chairman will be board member Gene Fine. Electric powered vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in the United States. See the chart below showing sales of these vehicles since 2010.
The first meeting of this committee will be held on Monday, July 20 at 5:00 PM in the Bldg. 3 social room. EVERYONE IS WELCOME to participate in this meeting.Click HERE to view the detailed EV information presented by Gene Fine at the meeting.

The story as per Marty Silver, Secretary AE BOD: "We found a Leatherback Turtle nest that a fox had gotten in to on the beach just south of Ambassadors East. The fox had killed 9 babies but we found 10 live ones in the area. Some were not doing very well. We took them to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to bring them back to full strength."

Only a Sprinkle of Rain!
Around 4 PM today Christina took these impressive pictures with her cell phone of an ominous looking storm over the Atlantic. We only got a sprinkle of rain and no wind to speak of. The regular monthly Ambassadors East BOD meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Bldg. 3 Community Room. The documentation packet included with this post contains the agenda items and supporting documents for the 07/15 meeting and the minutes for the special meeting of the BOD which was held on June 3, 2015. Two lengthy contracts from JES Construction and Bromely Cook Engineering related to concrete restoration and structural engineering services are not included in this online packet due to size constraints.
