Hurricane Matthew - Highland Beach Dodged a Bullet

Dear Readers,

Those of you who read my "mid-day hurricane report" post of yesterday will be happy to know that all of us who remained in place at AE survived and experienced a pretty normal day and night last night.  As stated in Christine's email (below) there were no power outages at all here.  My pre-cooked cold meals will be enjoyed today and throughout the weekend. Maximum wind speeds here were about 45 mpr when Matthew was closest to us over Grand Bahama Island.

I am glad everyone is ok and grateful that we were spared the worst of this one. Let's hope we experience another 10 years without a major hurricane!
